FAQ'S
Cruelty-free products are those that are not tested on animals at any stage of their development. This includes both the ingredients used and the final product itself.
Opting for cruelty-free products helps protect animals from unnecessary harm and suffering. By supporting brands that do not conduct animal testing, you promote ethical practices and encourage the development of alternative testing methods.
While we do our best to offer vegan and cruelty free products, not all of our products are certified vegan and organic.
For example, in some instances, honey is used as an ingredient. Some products have a mixture of organic and non-organic ingredients.
The best way to find your favourite preference is to use the 'sort by' option on each collection page. If you select 'vegan' it will show all products that are vegan. Likewise for organic and other options available within the 'sort by' menu.

Every artist appreciates a flawless canvas—it makes the colours pop, the strokes seamless, and the art come alive. For makeup aficionados, the skin is that canvas, and sometimes, it needs a little prep to make it impeccable. Enter the hero of the makeup toolkit: the concealer. A product often overshadowed by the flamboyance of eyeshadows or the drama of lipsticks, concealer quietly does its transformative job. Let's explore the myriad benefits of this humble yet powerful makeup essential.
Concealer: More Than Just a Cover-Up
While the name 'concealer' implies hiding or covering, its role is truly multidimensional:
Camouflaging Imperfections: Whether it's a sudden zit, a stubborn blemish, or an unexpected rash, a dab of concealer can camouflage these imperfections, making them virtually invisible.
Brightening Dark Circles: Sleepless nights, stress, or genetics, the reasons behind under-eye circles are many. Concealers help in neutralising these dark shadows, offering a fresh, wide-eyed look.
Minimising Redness: For those with sensitive skin, redness can be a frequent concern. A green-tinted concealer can counteract this redness, balancing out the skin tone.
Pore-fection: A Closer Look at Pores
One of the underrated uses of a good concealer is its ability to blur out pores:
Smoothening the Surface: Large pores can disrupt the smooth finish of a foundation. Concealers, especially those with a matte finish, can minimise the appearance of pores, providing a more even surface.
Preventing Clogs: Some concealers come infused with beneficial ingredients that not only cover but treat the skin, preventing pores from getting clogged.
The Perfect Primer
While there are designated primers available, in a pinch, concealers can double up as effective primers:
Eyeshadow Base: By applying concealer on the eyelids, one can create a neutral base that makes eyeshadows stand out and last longer.
Lipstick Amplifier: A light application of concealer before putting on lipstick can make the colour more vibrant and prevent it from bleeding.
Sculpting and Defining
Beyond just concealing, this versatile product can be a game-changer for contouring and highlighting:
Highlighting: A shade lighter than one's skin tone can act as a highlighter, illuminating areas like the brow bone, the bridge of the nose, or the cheekbones.
Contouring: Conversely, a shade darker can help define and sculpt the face, accentuating features like the jawline and the hollows of the cheeks.
Quick Fixes and More
Concealer isn’t just for the face:
Evening Out Tan Lines: If you've been out in the sun and are left with uneven tan lines that you wish to conceal for a special event, a waterproof concealer can come to the rescue.
Neutralising Tattoo or Scar: While it might not completely hide it, a heavy-duty concealer can diminish the appearance of a tattoo or scar.
Ingredients Matter
The world of concealers isn't just about shades and coverage; it’s also about ingredients:
Hydrating Concealers: For those with dry skin, concealers with hydrating components like hyaluronic acid can provide moisture while covering imperfections.
Medicated Variants: Some concealers come with ingredients like salicylic acid, beneficial for acne-prone skin, ensuring that while you conceal a breakout, you're also treating it.
Application Techniques
Using a concealer isn’t just about dabbing it on. The technique matters:
Blending: Always blend the concealer well, using fingers, a brush, or a sponge. This ensures it melds seamlessly with the skin.
Layering: If one layer doesn’t give the desired coverage, wait for the first to dry, and then apply another layer. Layering ensures a buildable coverage without a cakey look.
Concealer, often the unsung hero in a makeup kit, carries the potential to transform, define, and perfect the skin's appearance. Whether it’s creating a flawless canvas, sculpting the face, or even serving as a quick fix for unexpected beauty woes, the concealer is truly a magic wand. So, the next time you spot that tiny compact or tube, know that it’s not just about hiding—it’s about unveiling a more polished, refined version of you.
